In memory of Sir Joegar, here’s a project we did for our Radio Production class’ finals. This brings back so many memories… And this was completely recorded within the confines of my tiny room.
(As requested by Meng)
PS.
Ang bitchy lang. Nakakainis na nakakatawa! :))
Working girls and Streetcar Named Desire—two films that I will always associate with Sir Joegar after being made to watch them for his Scriptwriting class (which I came to dislike come Finals period). His Radio Production class was taken for granted by many of his students (including me) because let’s face it, he was not that good of a professor.
But amidst that, he was the kindest,...

Kozui Green Tea
I will always love food, food trips and everything in between. After two years of ‘planning’ to visit, my friend, Me-ann and I finally had the chance to visit Kozui in Tomas Morato since it was partly on my way to school. (It wasn’t her first time there, though.) Can I just say that it was a truly unique experience? :)
Too bad I have no pictures because I haven’t had...

Letter from Birmingham Jail
Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. What affects one directly, affects all indirectly. //Martin Luther King, Jr.

THE SYSTEM IS SCREWED
There’s no proper implementation of the laws, in my opinion. The laws are clear but they’re being construed to have biased meanings that’s why the system usually ends up fucked up. I’d say that the majority of the people’s thinking is screwed and perverse would be more appropriate.

a short little poem
the black ink continues to taint the paper with meaningless scribbles and words. the writer, in all her glory, spills all the profundity in a short little poem.

Something is rotten in the state of Denmark
To be or not to be– that is the question: Whether ‘tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, Or to take arms against a sea of troubles And, by opposing, end them. To die, to sleep No more – and by a sleep to say we end The heartache and the thousand natural shocks That flesh is heir to – ‘tis a consummation Devoutly to be wished. To die, to sleep To...

Beating, beating. Throbbing, throbbing. POUNDING. The reverberating beat of smashing metals, and colliding wood onto plastic is one I freely accept under such circumstance—one that has happened too many a time to count with my limited digits. The shrill of hammers hitting—in threes, in twos, sometimes in multiples of both or sometimes just one at a time in succession—combined...

Criminal law can suffice as entertainment, srsly.
HELD: The accused and her sisters are entitled to the mitigating circumstance of passion or obfuscation. Her order to kiss and awake her sister was challenged by the victim. This generated a false belief in the minds of the three sisters that in the victim’s person resided the evil spirit—Satan or Lucifer. And this triggered “an impulse so powerful as naturally to have produced...

This is what Ma'am Sese could make me do! :)))
I am Karen Michelle and just last night, I came upon the realization that I am a work in progress. Being a reflective person who spent most of her high school and early college years contemplating about events, places, people, experiences and what have you, I understand that I am an incomplete being. Like everyone living in this world, I am no perfect being. But it is because of that reason I...
